Daytime Adventures!

With National Geographic Outdoor Explorer Toys!

August 3, 2012
With summer weather in full swing, it’s the perfect opportunity to get your kids outdoors and exploring the world around them!

Uncle Milton and National Geographic have teamed up to bring families a full range of outdoor explorer toys for your kids.  Not only will these toys get your kids outside, they will turn them into young explorers in their own backyards!  Daytime adventures from this new line include catching and observing live bugs and other outdoor critters, using explorer navigational tools and devices, magnifying nature up close, learning how to “tag” trees and rocks, and much more!

For example, the All-Terrain Nature Collector is great for collecting and observing all kinds of things in nature. The collector grips are perfect for picking up and moving objects like sticks and rocks…even in water! Snap-on the collecting domes, and your explorer can see what live critters they can collect and observe!

With the 4-in-1 Navigational Tool, young explorers will learn to use some essential devices for exploring.  It has a sturdy compass so they’ll always know which direction they’re headed in. On the opposite side there is a thermometer that shows the temperature. There’s also a signal mirror and a whistle so they can alert their friends while exploring outdoors.

Earth Tag is an especially popular activity.  It’s more than just an everyday slingshot…it’s an action outdoor game that encourages discovery!  All your explorer has to do is look for things in nature to identify like trees and rocks. Once they find it, they load the sling with a soft foam earth ball, pull it back, and launch towards their ultimate target!  It’s a point-based game where kids determine the targets and point values.  For example, a small tree might be 20 points, a twisty branch - 30 points, a big rock – 50 points, and so on. They can play alone or challenge their friends.

With these National Geographic Outdoor Explorer Toys, your kids are sure to be inspired to get outdoors and conjure up their own expeditions. As further encouragement, Uncle Milton has even created a National Geographic Explorer’s Academy website at www.natgeoacademy.com which includes ideas for outdoor explorations, educational materials from National Geographic, and more information on the Outdoor Explorer line of toys.   You can also find these toys at Amazon.com, Toys ‘R Us and many other retailers.

Check it out and get your kids outdoors and exploring before the summer ends! Uncle Milton is a proud supporter of Macaroni Kid.
